So far we’ve sent duvets to Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Austria, Sweden, Iceland, Dubai, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and China – and these days we’ve stopped counting.

Free Shipping and Returns on Orders within Europe

Most orders ship within 1 to 3 weeks of order confirmation. Customers are welcome to inform us of any urgency required – we will do our best to expedite processing where possible.

Free Shipping on Orders outside Europe over £500

Orders over £500 are shipped free of charge, except to the USA, where a £100 DDP fee applies on all orders. For exchanges or refunds, customers outside Europe handle and pay their own return shipping. Find out more on our Returns & Refund Policy page.

Shipping to the USA

For all orders to the United States, we charge a flat fee of £100, which includes shipping and full Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service —-> all customs duties and import taxes are covered by us..

UK customers: VAT, Customs, and Handling Fees

Following the UK’s departure from the EU, goods shipped from EU-based businesses such as ours are now subject to VAT and possible extra delivery charges upon delivery to the UK. If you are a UK-based customer, please be aware that the prices on our website do not include these costs.

The delivery company responsible for the delivery of your order will collect VAT on behalf of the UK government. VAT in the UK is charged at 20% of the value of your order.

You will also be asked to pay additional delivery charges or “handling fees” by the delivery company to cover the cost of customs paperwork and processes. These charges are determined by the delivery company (usually in the £5-£15 range).

When your order has arrived in the UK, you will be contacted by the delivery company responsible to arrange payment of VAT and any handling fees.

Customs Duties: Our products are not subject to customs duties, so no additional customs tax will be applied to your order.

EU Customers and Outside Europe Customers

– Customers based in the EU will be charged VAT at checkout.
– Customers ordering from outside Europe may be charged VAT, customs duties, and handling fees depending on the country of delivery.

Delivery Time

Delivery times will fall within the following ranges:
– UK / European delivery: 4 to 20 working days
– Outside Europe: up to 20 working days extra

Note: Most workshops close during holiday periods. Please allow extra working days for delivery during these times, especially between Christmas and New Year.

Tracking

When your order is sent, you will receive a Track & Trace code which you can use to follow the progress of your order.

Your Order Status

A copy of the automated order confirmation (containing your order number) will be sent to you by email. Should you have any questions about the status of your order, please call or email us. We will be able to update you regarding the status of your order.

Receiving Your Order

Your order will be dispatched to the address you provided at the time of purchase. All items will be delivered in compliance with EU regulations for overseas purchases, including a compulsory 14-day return window. However, at Downduvet.co.uk, we want you to be completely satisfied with your duvet. Therefore, any duvet purchased from us can be returned up to 100 days after your initial purchase. Please note that made-to-measure products are exempt from returns.
