A Family Workshop: Smaller Scale, Greater Care

The skilled craftswomen of Falkenreck have been diligently working in their workshop near the picturesque Teutoburg Forest since the 1970s, producing 100% handmade down duvets. From cutting and sewing the fabric to filling the down and stitching the boxes, every step is meticulously handcrafted with the level of care and passion unique to a family-run business. The Falkenreck family and their team are as closely-knit as the duvets they create.

History

Dieter Falkenreck started out as a representative for a well-known fabric producer. During this time he witnessed a decline in duvet production by traditional craftspeople and saw duvet fabric suppliers trying to transform themselves into down manufacturers. Dieter realised he could do the same, and together with his wife he founded “Atelier Falkenreck”. Dieter worked hard and applied his experience to find new clients while Frau Falkenreck managed the workshop and supervised production.

The 21st Century

Betten Falkenreck has grown considerably since then but the heart of this family business remains the same. Dieter still runs the sales and marketing, now with the help of his daughter Iris, while Frau Falkenreck continues to manage the prestigious workshop.
