Founded in 1823, Kauffmann began as a small family-run workshop. By 1896, it had grown into a full-scale atelier on Lake Constance in Bregenz, Austria—renowned for selecting only the highest quality down and feathers.

Today, production continues at the advanced Sanders-Kauffmann facility in Bramsche, Germany. Under Dr. Erhard F. Grossnigg’s leadership since 2007, Kauffmann has become a global benchmark for premium down duvets.
